First hurdle.

I'm building a new system. Put out the mobo, slide in the CPU, took off the am4 mounting to install an aio. Selected the screw position on the backplate and then tried to position it........

Did not know that aorus had a backplate on the motherboard which interferes with the AIO backplate.........

Anyone has any idea before I cut the heck out of the backplate?20181122_234048.thumb.jpg.cbbeef693c2929e8d71e2ff9202d551a.jpg

experience from the ASUS B350 Prime plus.

its just stuck to it with glue once you have removed the screws.

i used a pair of scissors or a screwdriver to eventually pry away the backplate. kee the backplate as some cooler use it

I've managed to take the backplate off, it's when I try to install the AIO BACKPLATE that I face a problem because the aorus x470 has another plate.

The side plate hinders the installation of the AIO backplate...

that solid metal backplate, yes

just make shure you remove everything screwed into it before removing it. it is stuck quite solidly on there.

once it starts comming off its not too hard to pull away. its just the sheer contect surface that makes it hard.
