Hi, I have found a gaming pc for £400. It will mainly be used for games like GTA V, BeamNG.drive, Just Cause 3. The specs are i7 4790, 12gb RAM and r9 285. It also has an SSD and comes with a G602 mouse. Is this a good deal?

Well you are paying mostly for the look, and it looks stunning.

Keep in mind that you can't upgrade it/ it is very hard to upgrade it.

The graphics card is pretty bad on it, https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-RX-580-vs-AMD-R9-285/3923vs3174

But it should pay all these games you listed at 1080p high, but not ultra.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

it would be around that, maybe a little higher, maybe a little lower

Thanks as I think this would be a very capable machine if I put a 1050ti or a rx570/580 in

Oh sorry, i thought that the gpu was also part of the custom loop. But looking closer, gpu is not watercooler, so you can replace it easily.

I would get a rx590 or a gtx 1070 for it.

On the picture i see only 1x 8pin gpu connector, so if you want to add a more powerful gpu make sure it has 1 more 8pin somewhere.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

both the ftw and gaming (x) are great cards, and maybe for a little less if you can bid on them. they will perform better than those 580's, 570's and 1050 ti's. I think the Sapphire, XFX and ASUS cards are about the best you can get, but the powercolor and the msi aero coolers are pretty bad. but for those prices, I would get those 3 brand new. I don't like to work with Patriot, but that's just personal prefference.
