Atom text editor blurry

I have recently been using the atom text editor. However, some of the text is quite blurry, until I mouse over it, but then it becomes blurry again after a few seconds. I think this may have to do with the nVidia drivers thinking atom is a game and applying some settings to it. How do I fix this?
