Would the .iso from here work for a first time installation? I don't know much about this so I don't know where else to ask... Would I still need a product key or what?

Yes, it will work, and yes, you'll need a product key to activate it. You can still use it without a product key but some things will be disabled (namely personalization such as changing the desktop background).

id avoid installing from there if you dont want to be a guinea pig for microsoft, since i think it downloads the new 1809 version

 

(for example 1809 broke hw acceleration in browser for me so i had to install 1803 again)

you can use https://www.heidoc.net/joomla/technology-science/microsoft/67-microsoft-windows-and-office-iso-download-tool

its third party tool so its not guaranteed to be 100% safe, with that said ive never heard of any problems with it

 

I think 1803 is the April update - select it and the language you want, you can either download through the program or click to copy the link, check the domain and use it browser
