Hello, I'm having some weird issue. I recently upgraded from 970 to a 1080ti. And on my 970 i didn't have this issue at all. So i have 3 connections coming out of my graphics card 1. Display port connected to my dell 27" 2k 144hz monitor 2. Hdmi connection going to my vive 3. Dvi to hdmi cable going to my fhd secondary monitor i rarely use. I turn that on when i m working on sometimes. But after the upgrade. When ever i turn my second monitor while windows is running on it receives no sign no matter how long i leave it. Plugging and un plugging doesn't work. I need to restart the computer while its on for it to work and now its my primary monitor. And after the windows boots it takes 2 mins for my main monitor to start and for my nvidia drivers to lunch. I m thinking i need to format my PC but i rather not so any ideas will help.  Thank you sorry for the long question

I read your entire story and it lookos like you must do owhat the chap up top said.  Boot into safe mode and run DDU , boot back into winblowz and install latest nVidia driver and let us know what happens.  good luck

Arrrrrrrrrrgh.  So sorry to hear this.  Hmmmmm, this is a weird problem my friend, never heard of this problem.  Scary problem, at least you didn't get a virus that does something as nasty as this.  IMO you must try a different video card not your old one but same generation.  So we can rule that out.  970 to 1080 Ti is a big jump.  Somehow if you can get your hands on a 1080 so we can completly rule out video card.  sighs

you could try reflashing the bios but if you still have a warranty for the card(you didnt mention if you bought the card used or from a store) you should try and rma the gpu

be careful because bios reflashing could void your warranty
