PC doesnt turn on immediately

ma7oo

Hello,

I recently bought a new PC, which works smoothly. Whenever I press the powerbuttun, the PC needs about 3 seconds to start running. The booting is fast but those 3 seconds make me feel like something isnt working right.

Case: Fractal Design Meshify C

PSU: 500 Watt be quiet! Pure Power CM Modular 80+ Silver

GPU: 8GB ASUS Radeon RX580 OC Dual Aktiv
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X
MOBO: MSI B450-A Pro
RAM: 16 GB Vengeance DDR4-3200 CL16
SSD: 500 GB Samsung 860 Evo

I guess there is problem with my PSU or motherboard, but I am not quite sure. How can I fix this?

What do you mean exactly? Do the fans not spin up when you press the button?

mostly a MB Issue, wouldn't worry about it too much, though it might be a bit annoying...

Is your memory overclocked past its rated speed?

They spin, but my monitor doesnt receive any signals for like 3 seconds before it starts booting. My old PC send signals instantly and booted immedietaly after pressing the start button. Thats why I am worried.

I bought a 16 GB DDR4-3200 but when I checked my with ram speed it worked at 2133mhz. I opened the BIOS and enabled XMP Profile 2 for 3200mhz. I dont know if this counts as overclocking.

Can this problem cause other issues in the futere?

Sometimes the motherboard just has issues getting these higher memory frequencies up and running needing more than one post cycle.

If it ends up booting correctly in the end then there's nothing to really worry about it's just the system being sensitive :P
