Will A SSD Work?

Go to solution Solved by Zando_,

Just get a SATA SSD, they're plug and play same as SATA HDDs. They're light enough to just hang off the SATA cables too, that's what I did in some office prebuilts at work since there's no 2.5" HDD mounts and the cables weren't long enough to let me tape it to the frame.

Ok, so if get an SSD to replace the HDD in this system is there a specific type of SSD l should get and/or cables that I might need? Or will it pretty much just plug and play?

Plug and play if you are replacing an HDD with a 2.5inch SSD.  It uses the same power and data cables.

Yup! The specifications of this machine say it is SATA, so any SATA-SSD should make it for you: https://support.hp.com/ph-en/document/c03808397
