you can remove it, it's just a stupid QR code, but it doesn't really matter if you remove it or not, it's up to you

Its probably used at some point in factory. Removing it doesn't remove warranty or anything like that (it needs to read "Warranty void if removed"). Leaving it on doesn't have any effect on performance.
