Screen flicker 1080ti

ApexSutton31

Hello all,

Just last night, while playing Overwatch, I experienced some screen flickering on my Dell 27" 1440p 144Hz monitor. Can't remember exact model number atm. Lol. I'm using a Founder's edition 1080ti (have owned since launch). It didn't do it often, just a few times, then stops and then did it again before being fine. It's connected to the monitor through display port. Also just noticed it happening once or twice when watching YouTube videos just this morning. Just wondering what this means? Is the card dying? I use it to stream games to Twitch and I've used it for mining in the past, but quit that after 5 or 6 months. Haven't done mining for about 6 months. Thank you and have a wonderful day!

Matthew

The cable connection is probably loose, try shaking it around a bit. This has happened to me as well in the past and the solution was to get a new display cable.

Okay, cool. Yeah, I have a kind of big IKEA L desk with a two monitor stand, so the cable is almost at it full length on that monitor. I'll have to do that and then test in game later today. Thanks!

No problem!

And let me know if the solution works.
