press the insert button on your keyboard to make it go back to normal, this can happen on any website/anytime you are typing on a computer you are most likely hitting a button or something to active it.

WTF is this orange cursor that types over words that doesn't let you type normally. Every post i type on this site it' a pain in the ass i just want a normal black single spaced cursor instead of one that functions the way this one does on this site.

interesting I'll give that a shot I just have never run into this before on anything else and it happens constantly on this site. I'm not even sure how I could be accidentally hitting it this often but thanks!

i had this happen to me many times and I had no idea how then I just pressed every button to figure out what I hit and it was insert
