Hi All,

I just built my new computer and when I plug in any usb device or cable to the front ports and take it out the computer shuts it self down. It doesn't black screen, it goes through the process of shutting down. I've tried removing the front usb connector from the mother board but the same things happens. Any suggestions for a fix would be much appreciated.

Thanks, OJ

It's possible that the usb port contacts touch each other so check that at first. Another thing you can do is to uninstall usb drivers and try to reinstall them.

sounds like something causes the power button to be pressed or shorted out.
removing a usb drive usually gives some vibrations so that could short out or trigger the power button...
