Hey guys.

I recently upgraded my motherboard and CPU, when I installed I noticed some slightly odd looking pins in CPU socket so naturally I messaged the company I got it off and they said "if the pins are out of place it is not a fault of ours and not covered under warranty" even though they were bent straight out of the box. Anyways I was able to get it to work and it was fine for about a week and now whenever I turn my computer on, the fans turn on at Max speed, the fans LED's light up. After about 30 seconds the mother board LEDs will turn on but no boot. Then it will turn everything off and start again.

(This is painful since it was working 12 hours ago)

I have disconnected my GPU, and found that my mother board, thanks to the LED indicaters on it state that the ram is the problems but the LED keeps jumping between the RAM and CPU never choosing a side and never having both on at once

Please I have exams tomorrow and I need the stuff on my computer!

I have the Z390 Aorus pro for the mother board

Intel core i7 8700k

32gb ddr4 RAM (ripjaws from G.skill)

A 500 watt Silverstone power supply

And I'm booting off an m.2 SSD from samsung

Have you tested without GPU and less ram?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

Yes, I have completely removed the GPU and I'm trying with only 1 stick of ram but it's the same problem

3rd and 4th pin, top row, bottom RH quadrant, proper fucked, take your hard drive to a friend, get them to print the stuff you need for your exam.

Prepare to be nice to them for the foreseeable future, RMA the board.

EDIT, top RH quadrant, row 4, last pin, also looking iffy, top RH quadrant again, last row pin, 1 or 2, did I spell RMA right?

Ffs, worst part is they were like that when I got the board and so it wasn't even me who broke the bloody thing
