Posted November 6, 2018 I bought a system that has raid0 with two ssd's that have windows on them. Is there any way to disable raid without losing windows? If not, what are the precise instructions to disabling raid and installing windows? Whats the difference between delete and reset ( option 2 and 3 ) CPU: AMD FX 8350 | GPU: AMD R9 270 Windforce | MOBO: ASRock 990FX Extreme 3 | RAM: Kingston HyperX 8GB | Case: X Predator X1 |CPU COOLER: Hyper T4 NAZIS WILL RISE. Posted November 6, 2018 Only way to get rid of RAID is by deleting the RAID volume, which includes all the partitions and data on the volume. You'd need to copy the data elsewhere. Or just clean install Windows which also gives the benefit of removing some old leftover crap. Posted November 6, 2018 You'd need to prepare a windows 10 bootable usb stick so that you can reinstall windows once the raid array has been disabled. As raid0 spreads the data across two drives, disabling and resetting the array will cause the data to be wiped/inaccessible. Posted November 6, 2018 You can delete raid volume using option 2 but make sure you have backup your data and have windows installer on USB ready for window install. Magical Pineapples
