MoBo RAM support

Good evening! I have a Foxconn 2ABF MoBo, and was planning on upgrading the RAM to 16GB. According to the seller who I bought it from it supports max 16GB. However on the internet I have read a lot of people saying that 8GB is the max. One person said it worked but with lower clock speed. Are they talking @#€& or does it actually do that? How much will the lower speed affect performance? I have an i7 3770.

I believe it only support 8 gb. 99 percent sure about it.

If you already have the MoBo and RAM try it because on for example the macbook pro 2012 says it only supports 8gb of ram but i'm using it with 16 gb amd all of it being utlized

I currentoy have 8GB, and No money to spare for RAM or spare RAM. Maybe i can ask around for Some people to lend me it for 10 minutes.
