Hi,

iam building a new system and waiting for my cpu i9-9900k and i can’t figgure out which GPU i should buy for 1440p 100+ FPS High/ultra settings (BF V). Is the MSI trio x a good buy? And should you overclock or is the 1775mhz stock boost enough ?

Thanks for any answers.

Should be fine. Doubt the card will run at stock boost clocks, not many cards really do that.

MSI trio X is not a gpu, it is a cooler.

What gpu do you mean? (1080ti/rtx2080/rtx2080ti)?

The 3 gpus i named are all good for 1440p 144hz.

Since you're correcting the OP, let me also correct you.

The 2080 Ti is not a GPU, it's a graphics card. The TU102 chip is a GPU.

If you don't reach your card's temp/power limit, then yes. Power throttling can prevent your card from reaching its max potential.

I was not correcting, i was asking for extra info. You are just nitpicking.

There are many cards that use msi gaming trio design, so the op may have asked about rtx2080, gtx1080ti, or a rtx 2080ti.

GPU vs graphics card doesnt make that kind of a difference. If you say rtx 2080ti, you know that it is using a TU102 chip instead of a P102 chip.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

That doesn't change the fact that the 2080 Ti is not a GPU.
