External GPU drivers problems

Hello everyone! I just got an eGPU box, the Akitio Node, for my Spectre x360 13-ac013dx. The only problem is that while thunderbolt says it's GPU ready, and the box connects no problem, the nvidia drivers claim that my GPU can't be found and that the driver software isn't for my version of windows, even though I just checked and I definitely have windows 10 home premium 64 bit. Has anyone else had these problems? Any way to fix it? thank you all in advance.
