so i just built a new pc with a AMD FX-6300 and the MoBo is a sabertooth 990fx r2.0 so when i open cpu-z the cpu is change the clock speeds. and i was wondering if i should keep it like it is or overclock it manually in the Bios ? P.S im not a complete noob but i never overclocked a cpu before

It have a boost clock, wich is 4.3Ghz with 6300. :)

(I am not sure about boost speed)

Good information is found here.  I looked at this site and others for help in overclocking my son's AMD FX 6300.  I shut off Turbo Boost and other auto features and got my son's cpu to 4.2 GHz and left it there but know when manually overclocking you are going for more than 4.2 GHz with this cpu.  I just didn't feel like going further at the time as it was apparent I was going to have to change voltages and more to get more from the cpu.
