Help which upgade do I get

So I have a old 2011 1080p 60hz monitor and i want to upgrade it to a 1080p 144hz monitor but if i get a new monitor then my graphics card, an overclocked rx 550, wont be able to take advantage of the 144hz. But if i get a new graphics card then the extra preformance will be wasted. Please help I only have enough money to buy 1 upgrade. thx

no it won't, just turn up the quality settings.

Get a new GPU first.

 

If your current GPU can't run a monitor to its potential, then upgrading the display now would be a bit of a waste of money.

RX 580 is good for high details 1080p. Since you have a budget 550, you must also have a low end CPU too. Are you sure that can keep up with 144Hz?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B
