i have a MSI 970A SLI Krait Edition Motherboard and after leaving my pc off for 3 days and i went to start up my pc it came up with the 9c error and i cant even open my BIOS and ive when threw almost everything i can think of, even my USB 3.0 plug. And its been about 2 weeks since it last booted up correctly. i really need some help with this.

If you have your motherboard's manual, look up the POST codes and see what 9c corresponds to.

9C: "USB init."

Usually caused by bad USB device connected or bad cable/port inside case or motherboard.

Try disconnecting all USB device from rear and unplug the USB header on motherboard then reboot. Use native PS/2 mouse and keyboard or USB with adapter instead may help.

This seems to be a consistent problem in MSI motherboards, as there are plenty of reports, including one from the Forums of such occurrence on MSI board.
