So today I just got home and my computer had a "Reboot and select proper boot device" message. Then I went to the BIOS and it turns out that my SSD (my boot drive) is not detected at all. I double checked the connections and everything. Could it be that my SSD died? Or are there other ways to fix this?

If that doesn't work, try power cycling it, as that can fix some ssds that appear as dead. Turn your system on, with the ssd, and let it sit for 30 mins. After it's done, shut down the system, take the ssd out, wait 30 seconds, and turn it on with the ssd for another 30 mins. Then, shut down the system, take it out for 30 seconds, and then try to boot from it. That could revive the drive.
