Hi, i have a palit gtx 1070 ti and am going to buy another to run in sli (don't try to talk me out of it xD)

I was wondering if i could pair this with say a Asus Strix 1070 ti, or would the solid bridge i have not agree with the pcb being a different size? I know the pcb's are different dimensions from card to card but i was wondering if say the sli fingers are going to be in the exact same place on every card, that being in the same place width and depth wise.

Or should i just wait until i find the exact same card?

Thanks,

Adam

the GPU has to be the same. But you can SLI different models.

For example: Your Palit 1070 Ti and a founder's edition 1070 Ti. Or any other, as long as it's a 1070 Ti. The SLI fingers should be the same across all cards.

That said, I'd still recommend selling your card and buying either a 1080 Ti or a 2080. I don't care if you said don't try to talk you out of it, I'm still gonna say it. If you had a 1080 or 1080 Ti then I would understand more.

So a strix card being wider (pushing nearer to the glass on the side my case) would not be an issue? and the bridge would not be left hanging infront of the narrower card?

Also i'm aware a 1080 ti would be better, but this 1070 ti was a gift, and i would not feel right selling it for a better model (also i play games pretty okay with sli luckily)

Well... If you have a soft bridge then yeah it'll be fine. But not a hard one.

edit: it depends on the dimensions of your Palit card. If they are the same, then you can use a HB bridge no problem

No, HB only comes rigid. I'm not sure if running 2 normal bridges will do anything... Might be a google question
