headset PC not detecting Hyperx cloud 2 headset.

Hello!

I recently bought the Hyperx cloud 2 headset but my PC doesn't detect it in the playback/recording menu when i plug it in with the USB, but it works when i plug it in with the 3.5mm thing, but it only plays audio and i want to use the microphone aswell.
I tried it on my mums laptop and everything worked perfectly. I am using windows 10 and she is using windows 7. What can i do to make it work on my PC?

Not sure about the rest off the top of my head, but if you have a fully updated Windows 10 you might be running into applications not having access to the microphone.

 

Start icon -> gear for settings

Type in microphone privacy
