Change laptop cpu

I know that in some laptop you can change the cpu and i would like to know with what cpu i can change it for. I own an acer aspire v5 with a pentium 987 in it. I think it's a bga1023 socket. I know it might not be the best laptop but i just want to squeeze the last bit out of this pc. Thanks in advance!

It would need a socket and only older laptops are going to have that.

BGA is ball grid array and that CPU isn't removable.

Just find an old thinkpad with an i5 or i7 and you'll probably be set.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?
