I managed to get the sound going again went into the motherboard sound controller and reminded it to go through the front jack, scared the heck out of me to had my AC/DC turned all the way up and forgot it was playing.

okay, so I was trying to get my 2.1 speakers, my headphones and my headset working of of my onboard, and it was working great my speakers were working then I hooked up my headphones those worked great to, but then I plugged in my headset and things aren't so good. they all worked just fine for a sec and then boom no sound, so I unplugged everything and plugged my 2.1 back in and still no sound, so then I restarted and my speakers made the startup noise just fine but everything else has no sound... so can anyone help.

Try re-installing the drivers.

My personal rig - 4790k 4.8Ghz, Asus Z97 Pro (wi-fi ac), Corsair Dominator Plat 4x8GB, SLI GTX 1080 TI FE, Samsung 850 Evo 1TB, Crucial MX100 512GB, EVGA G3 1000W, and cooled by a hardline liquid cooling loop.

Ahh well I'm glad you got it sorted out.
