Which B450 motherboard is better for me ?

First of all, im really sorry about my english. So, im struggling with budget issues. i will buy a ryzen 3 2200G cpu and i wanna build a pc that at least run gta v or newer games on medium (or low/high i don't care actually high graphics)

i got 1 8gb ripjaws 3000Mhz memory, i will go without a gpu i'm waiting for pricetags to go down on winter (i will prefer to buy a rog strix rx580 also)

here is the motherboards i can't compare but wanna learn which is the best one for price / performance rate:

1) ASUS B450M A Prime 3200 (O.C) / the cheapest mobo
2) MSI B450M PRO-VDH 3200+(O.C)
3) MSI B450M Gaming Plus 3466+(O.C) (Only 2 DIMM)
4) MSI B450M Bazooka 3200+(O.C)

5) MSI B450M A-Pro 3200+(O.C)
6) ASUS TUF B450-Plus Gaming 3200(O.C) / the most expensive mobo
7) Or better / cheaper mobo that i don't know

Its my first time to build a pc in my entire life, i don't know which features or motherboard companies are the best so i would like to see your suggestions.Also i would prefer to do it as cheap as i can.

I don't pretend to know what I'm talking about but I'm building a similar PC right now. I went with the MSI B450M PRO-VDH due to other's recommendations. (Look at my topics)

Buy this one: It has the best BIOS and will allow for some basic overclocking

I really do not know how much things have changed with that brand, but I would never recommend an MSI motherboard and I always advise watching the Asrock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming K4 or B450 Pro4 offers. From the list I would choose the Asus TUF. Greetings.

due to import/export issues and less demand, ASrock has no marketplace on my country so it would be more expensive to choose one of these.

The TUF one suck less, but all are pretty bad because all but the TUF has no heatsink for the SOC VRM, which means it overheats easily under max load and overclocking the iGPU is pretty much impossible without them reaching dangerous temperatures. The one on the TUF is also tiny, not worth it compared to the price

 

If you don't know what an SOC VRM heatsink looks like, try compare the MSI B450-A Pro (ATX board) with the B450M Pro-VDH. You'll see that there's a block of aluminium above the CPU socket on the B450-A Pro, but not on the Pro-VDH. That's the SOC VRM heatsink, and you'd better buy a mobo with SOC VRM heatsink around that size

tuf one is atx, it says tuf mos, cap, chokes part are more reliable and asus says 5x more life time, %20 percent more heat tolerance. Lower RDS and flexible heat control on bios that they say we have certified xpert fan control that protects cpu and gpu. isn't that enough for me ?

If you only ever plan on running the R3 2200G then any board from that list will be fine. For a 6/8 core you would want something better.

i will try to handle with 2200 but 1 year or 13-14 months later i will try to put 7 1800x with rx580. that is my plan but for now on i will stay with this.

You would want a better board for an 8 core. None in that list would be suitable for that.

I’m going with an msi motherboard (b450 tomahawk) as it’s a reasonable price for my Ryzen 5 2600 So I think this is a good choice but if anyone could give any review on it as I have no experience with msi boards

That is an Intel board. You would want an X370 or X470 etc chipset board with good VRM's. So either buy a better board now or one when you upgrade to the 8 core Ryzen cpu.

marketing gimmick. All of them. For cost reasons, it just make more sense to put ther 'tuf mos cap chokes whatever' everywhere, including the cheaper boards, because they get discount for buying in bulk.

 

Peel away the fancy graphics and advertisements, it's the Asus Prime B350 Plus board with a different chipset (which doesnt affect its function) and the middle part chopped off. Even the Prime B350 Plus isnt that good either, paying more for a board that contains less material and new paint job is ridiculous if you ask me.

hmm, to handle one and a half year so i will stick to the cheapest stuff i guess. then i would change the entire build with high end stuff to carry myself for at least 4-5 year.

I just built a 2200g system with a b450i and it works pretty good.

 

The bios is a breeze with overclocking but I'll probably spend a little more on my next AMD build when I get a CPU with more then 4 cores.

 

Has anybody else with a 2200g notice that 1300mhz GFX clock is unstable but 1400 to 1550mhz seems to work just fine?
