ok so i'm having a weird problem:

edited.png.19c5a230bb1edcdb55b40116c2f757b5.png

the notification counter isn't showing in my tab. it should say 1 after forums right?

macOS 10.13.6

Chrome Version 70.0.3538.67

Chrome has the old design because i changed it back from the new design using a flag in chrome.

i do have adblock installed but disabled for the forum.

the only thing i changed about the image was i erased my name from the top right.

EDIT: it does work when i am using another tab, but then immediately goes away when i switch to the forum.

EDIT2: the counter is also not correct when i'm using another tab. it will show 1 while i have 2 notifications.

i could have tried changing it back to the new design but the design shouldn't have an effect on it right?

You mean the count in the tab title? It only shows the number of notifications that you received while the tab was open but in the background (while looking at a different tab). As soon as you switch back to the LTT tab, it clears.

oh ok. it still won't work properly, because it was on 1 at some point while i had 2 notifications... but i was misinformed then.

It's meant to show the increase in notification count, not the current count, though I think actually for some reason it displays the most recent increase in notification count rather than the total increase over the time not looking at the tab.
