His build currently has i7-8700 with a GTX 1060 Mini-ITX which if im correct would act as a 1050ti (I might be wrong on this one)

I suggested that he should go with a i5-8600 and a default 1060.

Hes in a doubt, Could anyone suggest something maybe even better?

Thanks.

EDIT:

Hes planning to play most of the new games such as R6, BF1, CSGO, FIFA 19 and etc.

Downgrading to the i5 is a super bad idea. The i7 will easily run today's and tomorrow's games for years to come, not so much for the i5.

Also the GTX1060 ITX is a full GTX 1060 just with a smaller footprint. It's miles ahead of the 1050Ti. If he wants better performance, he'll need to look for a GTX1070 or 1070Ti.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

Not necessary. You only win some speed on the base clock. At turbo, there's at best a 100-200MHz difference.

No getting the k isn't just to get a 100-200 mhz difference. Its only so he could get some extra mileage from it when it becomes a celeron in the future.
