CPU Cooling for LGA 1156 ASUS P7F-M Server

Brandewey

Hello everybody this is my first time pc build. I have an ASUS P7F-M with 32gb of ram and a xeon x3448 2.536 ghz cpu got it on ebay for $99 a couple years ago in hope of upgrading my current MB which is also LGA 1156. (at the time it said my board could only hold 8gb off ram max but recently sites are saying it can hold 32gb ram and trying to find some 2200 ram which is impossible) so a friend of mine wanted a some what of a gaming rig (to play sky rim ((my current MB i have has a NVIDIA GTS 450 1gb gpu and will run second life, GTA V, Raising World, Ark, Farming Simulator 17)) and i had the ASUS mb laying around and starting gathering parts for it. case, gpu (which ii got scammed), psu and had bought  a cooling fan that said it was compatible with the LGA 1156 MB. well i got it but it was push pin. it didnt fit cause come to find out the MB is screw type. so i found an intel LGA 1156 cooling fan tower screw type. the screws will fit but the legs of the mounting bracket was splayed slightly wider then the cpu fan mb screw holes. after some more research it says a certain type of noctua fan will fit and the mounting hardware is required, so i priced both pieces and the fan is around $100 while the mounting hardware is about $10. i dont have that kind of money neither does my friend. im afraid if i buy that fan it will not fit either.  ive looked all over online and i can not find any pictures of this MB with a fan or fins or even water cooled. if anybody has any information on this or pics or links i would be most happy thank you.

How much can you spend on a cooler? I would just grab a Hyper 212 Evo or something used that's compatible with the 1156 socket and call it a day.

that looks like a good option and there one on ebay for like $25.i kept thinking why wont it work. i was watching a hyper 212 vid and it clicked. the mounting bracket/base plate from the original cooling fan thing (that wasnt with the mb at time of purchase. i just thought it was part of the mb) was still on the mb with double sided sticky tape x.x but it came off. wish i could find what was originally was mounted on there. so i decided to examine the intel cooler tower thing that came in the mail today, (used) the seller said it was for the 1156. on the mounting plate theres removable mounting nuts that can go into corresponding pasterns for different mb's. 775 1156 and 1366. sadly the mount screw top part is only for the 1366 mb. thats why it was off and thats why the push pin fan was throwing me off. i like how beefy the intel cooler tower is. its almost like the cooler master 212 evo. thanks everybody :D ill let yall know what works.
