Best book to learn C

MrMiniBeast

First off, I have very minimal programming experience. I get what for loops are and what if statements are and what variables are, but I can't actually write ANY code. At all.

That being said, I would like to learn C, and eventually expand to C++.

I'm looking for recommendations to learn C, particularly a book. I've hear O'Reilly makes fantastic books, but it doesn't have to be from them

Thanks for the help.

I had this book called Sams teach yourself C++ in 24 hours. I never really got around to finishing it, however the chapters I did read were very easy to understand and gave walkthroughs on everything from installing the programs, to writing, to compiling. Check it out.
