I just bought a Adaptec RAID card, 6805E. Which has 2 SAS connectors on the card for 8 S-ATA discs.

In the package there where 2 cables for this.

But on each of the cables there is a fifth cable that looks like a USB motherboard connector.

But I can't find any information on what this is for.

Anybody know?

EDIT: After a lot of googling I found out it's for "SGPIO", which is a communication to a controller of sorts for those with some kind of plug in harddrives stuff.

So nothing I need to think about. Too bad theres no info in the manuals that I could find. But again, these products might for the most parts be for businesses with tech personell.

Sorry for the few off Capital letters in my posts, it does it on its own when I Write in English, since my OS is in another Language. It's annoying.
