Hackintosh 900 - 1000

Go to solution Solved by lilc,

this I think is the final build http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2wcUE i went with the 840 evo because i'm not sure if the hyperX is hackintosh compatible.

As far as I know every ssd should be compatible, I think I used a kingston ssd.

Anyway it looks good.

I do a lot of photoshop and web development work with adobe dreamweaver I also do android development work. I do no gaming at all none. I already have a late 2012 macbook pro this computer would go along with this or replace. I want it to be 900 american dollars to 1000 dollars.

I need it to be a hackintosh for iPhone development. I would also like this to be open for improvement. This is a build I have http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2w64D

You may as well make it smaller since you are not going with a dedicated graphics card.

I'm planning on getting a dedicated graphics card and I thought building in a small enclosure might be hard. I really like smaller chassis like the phenom and node though. This is my first build by the way(sorry for not mentioning it before)

Even when you plan on a dedicated card, this case and motherboard will be fine. As long as you have a bit of patience, building in a small chassis isn't difficult. Also, you will soon know that building computers is pretty awesome :)

When you start your post os install with multibeast. I'd recommend looking at this http://www.tonymacx86.com/general-hardware-discussion/100568-latest-haswell-lga1150-motherboard-info.html

This will let you know what audio and lan drivers to click on multibeast, just find what ever motherboard you're using and look at the corresponding audio and lan chipset.

-Also use the nodsdt option

I don't think it does without a plugin, like beauty box.

I think it would be more beneficial to get a better cpu than gpu, depending on your workload imo.

what about integrated graphics then I could do something like this http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2w9yK

Integrated graphics should do fine.

I would recommend cheaper ram http://pcpartpicker.com/part/pny-memory-md16384kd31600x9

And mobo http://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-gaz87hd3

what is the difference in motherboards?

More pcie slots, supports sli.

removes 2 usb 2.0 on the back io for 2 more usb 3, you will want to put the installation usb stick in usb 2 anyway.

And one more usb 3 header for your case, which the r4 only has one anyway.

More sata ports

Nothing that's worth paying more
