Yo,

im researching 2.1 systems ( 2.1 coz I need dat bass) and so far Ive come with either the edifier s330d http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Edifier-S330D-Multimedia-2-1-Channel-Speaker-System-Black-Desktop-PC-Speaker-/300996871439?pt=AU_Hi_Fi_Speakers&hash=item4614cfc50f&_uhb=1 and the logitech z623: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=567_568&products_id=16344 . But one con with the z623's is that I cant lie then down sideways if I decide to go multi monitor but the pro is that they are thx certified(they are going to bang). Pro with the edifier's is i can lie em down for multi monitor if i ever decide to do that but con is that bass isnt as good as on the logitech ones. Others that ive heard that are good are Klipsch pro media 2.1 and Swans m10. 2.1 Also no budget its just if the price justifys itself ill pay it. What do u guys recommend? Thanks for reading.

Doesnt that block sound?

How good are the m50's to be $350?

They're supposed to be a fair bit better. About $200 better sounding. Kidding.

Sound is rather subjective though, everyone's hearing is different.

If you go by numbers, the M20's sub is 40w, and the M50's sub is 100w. Just mentioning it because you mentioned the bass in the Logitechs.

I couldn't find the spec on the M10's woofer, but someone who reviewed them suggested that it's best placed on the desk because of it's....subdued tones. So if your space is limited the M20's might be a bit better.

They also come with a remote which I find extremely useful. Depends if you use a keyboard that has the volume control built in.

Logitech's can pound. My dad has a higher end 5.1 Logitech set up on one of his computers and it can shake the house (which says a lot, it's set up i a very open room).

I reviewed both M10 and M50W on this site and consider both to be excellent speakers, however, M50W is definitely a lot better. Of course, you pay for it.

If you don't want to spend as much as $335 for the M50W, I also urge you to look at Klipsch Promedia from Harvey Norman. $299, but if you walk in the store and offer them $250-260 cash, you may get away with it. They have a very clear treble, good solid mids and a very deep and accurate bass. Not as well balanced as the M50W, but it is a good option for a little bit cheaper.

That's from a comparison.

The Swans vs Logitech are said to be in a league of their own, whether or not you'd really notice is hard to say.

The M10's are back ordered, the M20's are only $30 more for what I see as a much nicer set up.

If you really have no budget you could always go with something like this. I'm currently looking into a similar set up.

But that's an entirely different beast.
