Problem with my display

So, here's the problem. I,ve just build a brand new pc with an xfx rx 580. everything seems good, only one thing my current resolution is at 1360x720 because I can't go higher. If I want to use a higher resolution, I can't because its just glitched out. I'm using an old RCA tv as my monitor, I had a PS4 before and it was and still is running correctly at 1920x1080p without any problems. I've tried using older graphics card drivers and it isn't working aswell. I doon't know what to do.

how are you connecting your GPU to the monitor?

HDMI would be the way to go if it is a TV.

if you are using the RCA connectors there are a lot of bandwidthh limitations you are running into. then you are limited in resolution and refresh-rate.

I am using HDMI, when I mean RCA, I mean my tv's brand

ah that would explain my confusion XD.

can you try to set the output to 1080P 30Hz to test?

I did try yesterday,  doesn't work. I just pray it isn't a defective GPU problem

if the gpu was defective it wouldn't output at all , and you have tried another gpu and that didn't fix is as well.

any chance you can test it on another display?
