So I wanted to switch the ssd in my laptop with my dads prebuilt pc, and the laptop ssd works fine in the prebuilt pc, but the prebuilt ssd does not boot into windows on the laptop. What do I need to do to make windows boot into the laptop with the prebuilt ssd without clearing the data?

Define "doesn't boot". What exactly does it do? Does it turn on and just boot cycle, or black screen entirely? Does the BIOS work?

it's time

You really cannot. You have to backup the data, wipe the drive, reinstall drivers specific to the laptop and put the data back on. Same for reinstalling any applications and whatnot.

If it is Windows 10 it may be able to reconfigure the OS to work but you cannot rely on it.

It just shows "No OS detected" but it does have windows 10, just the laptop does not read it.
