Processor is working in 100%

this issue is with my desktop pc, i normally play fortnite on my pc, usually i play the 50v50 mode, there are alot of buildings and everything.

before my pc ran this smoothly at 120 fps and such at a resolution of 768p which is the resolution of my tv, epic settings.

but now it usually lags when there are alot of builds and players, fps drops to 40 or 50 fps, sometimes even 30 something 

so a checked everything and saw that the processor was running at 100% while running fortnite, constantly 100%

this did not happen before, what can i do ?  should i OC my cpu ? or no ? i've never OC or anything

o and also before this i could play fortntie on my dad's 4k on epic settings at 70fps no problem

 

processor: intel core 6600K 

gpu: rog strix gtx 1060 OC

Try to reinstall the game and your graphics drivers

Have you tried to change your power settings?

Try to go on Windows setting - Power and options - additional Power and options - and select performance profile.
