Last night, I found that my PC wasn't turning on. After further inspection, I found that one of the capacitor had blown up on the motherboard. I was planning to upgrade my x58 rig anyways, as it was showing it's age.

My current rig is in my signature area down below.

Here's what I am planning to do.

I have a fixed budget of $1000 USD. I don't wanna exceed it.

I purchased the msi 980ti lightening fr $220 nd the gskill trident z fr $120.

I am planning to reuse my 2tb barracuda and super flower leadex 650w psu (though it's 3 years old, still performing very well).

Is there anything else that I should upgrade? Or the planned build is fine.

I'll be ordering these parts within 2-3 days.

Also, I want some RGB bling, so added some RGB fans.

I am planning to pass over my current rig to my wife after repairing it.

Well, I appreciate ur effort.

That noctua cooler performs very well, but asthetically it doesn't look pleasing to me.

I'll get that Mobo ND the SSD that u recommended.
