did you setup your nas as hidden or in privacy settings?

wouldnt you be better of creating a shortcut link on your desktop to automatically go to the server folders?

No I didn't hide it and it isn't only my NAS it are all computers in my network I shut be able to view all shared folders etc but it wont my server is the only one I can see but isn't even in the workgroup.

If I connect a new laptop to my network and set the workgroup I can instantly access it (how it shut be)

check your windows credentials. it might be that your nas security wont allow it till the pc credentials have been verified.

My windows credentials shut be fine becouse just a new device can acces it straight away.

it only has to type a password and login to acces it. but is able to view it

If I have this correct In Windows 10 they turned off viewing network files by default. You can still access them by IP though (not sure if also by PC name). So if you want to see them by default you have to enable something (SMB? cant remember exactly and will leave for you to look up).

If you're interested in a product please download and read the manual first.

Don't forget to tag or quote in your reply if you want me to know you've answered or have another question.
