EDIT: I felt like it was a SSD issue, so I reseated it and everything seems to work a lot better now.

Hey guys, so I've got two laptops, side by side.

Asus Rog GL702VMK

I7-7700HQ 2.80Ghz

GTX 1060

16GB Memory

SSD

Asus Rog GL702VT

I7-6700HQ

GTX 970M

16GB Memory

HDD

So two laptops, very similar in spec, although one with a newer CPU, GPU and SSD, yet the performance of the machine is terrible compared to the latter machine

An example, is loading The Division on both machines. On the VMK machine, The Division takes 6:36 seconds from clicking play to taking control of the character, whereas with the VT, it takes 2:32. A huge difference considering the first laptop is a better spec.

While playing the new Fifa, it runs smooth on the VT, while on the VMK, it lags, the audio lags and it's just not playable

Both machines are fresh installs, complete with driver, windows and bios updates, so I was wandering what troubleshooting things I can try.

I've used the Asus Rog gaming center to take screenshots of both machines while the game is loaded.

Also, since turning the game off, around 20minutes ago, on the VMK machine, the GPU memory is still at max

Ignore that sentence, I forgot I turned the GPU performance to high to see if that helped, it did slightly, but not to anywhere near an acceptable standard. Turned that back down and while in idle mode, the memory of the GPU has dropped
