Black Screen on Amd Drivers Install

Hi Guys,

So Im doing a new build with some parts from my brothers old computer but purchased a new Motherboard and CPU as the old ones died.

We know the graphics card works because we had it working in my brothers new build.

Anyway so I fresh installed Windows 10 Home on my HDD and installed the new drivers everything is working fine except the AMD drivers installation goes to a black screen mid way, I hear a usb disconnection sound and nothing else happens. We have to restart the computer everytime. Device manager is saying its using the Microsoft basic Adapter but if i disable this and the computer picks up the graphics card it does the black screen again.

I have tried doing 2 fresh windows installs with and without network connected and tried legacy driver installations but it just wont download the AMD display drivers using custom or express install on the AMD Radeon software. Ive tried DDU in safe mode and restart and install the drivers but does the same thing.

Here is my Specs:

CPU:AMD FX8350 Black Edition 8Core

Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A-DS3P

Power: Crosair VS550

HDD: 1TB

Graphics Card: AMD R9 270

Ram: 8GB

Any help would be great Ive tried everything but posting on a forum.

hi, im having the same issue its windows that is the problem ive been trying to fix this for the past week and have found no solutions. try unplugging and reconnecting hdmi into the pc when it black screens, also try disabling all anti virus software including windows defender and see if that helps. if that doesnt work try turning fast boot off this helped slightly for me.
