Cleaning laptop tips
Once you work out how to open it (should be able to google that), blow it out with a can of air (best not to use air from a compressor unless you have a good dryer and filter) aiming to remove any gunk or dust that can be seen. Laptops (like keyboards and phones) tend to pick up a lot of stuff off your fingers. This oily residue can be easily removed with isopropyl alcohol and a clean wipe or q-tip; apply the alcohol to the wipe or q-tip, not directly to the component being cleaned. Do not use water.
Best results will be had with a complete disassembly. How comfortable you are with this will depend on how good of instructions you find and your own personal experience. Take a picture of every step of the disassembly so you know how it all goes back together.
