Should i go for  i5 8400 or i5 8600k ?

I want to opt for GPU  - Gtx 1060

My Mother Board is ASUS ROG z370-F Gaming.

Monitor 144Hz (1080p)

I am aiming at 1080p Gaming.

So should i go for gtx 1060 3Gb or gtx 1060 6Gb gpu ? For 1080p gaming under the above circumstances ,   also tell me about the Processor.

If you are getting a Z370 board then you should go for the 8600K.

, if i opt for i5 8400,

If you opt for the i5 8400 make sure you change your mobo to something cheaper. The z370 allows for overclocking, so save some money if you never intend to overclock.

I would recommend against the 8400 unless you are SURE you will never want to overclock in the future. Overclocking later on in the computer's life is a great way to squeeze some extra performance out of it. I don't like to do it early on because overclocking is degrading to the hardware.
