I absolutely love the look of a GTX 780 lightning edition, but I've been reading about the sound of the fans and I'm getting mixed stories. Some people claim it's extremely loud and some say it's very quiet. Does anyone have a link to a definitive answer to this or better yet personal experience? I really love the triple fan look, but if I need to I could settle for another card. Also would this run with a 550W psu, with a 4670k with a small overclock?

Also yay for first post! :D

I think it's more of a personal experience vs actual results. I think you could run a 550w psu but put your specs into pcpartpicker for a reading to see what it would at stock. Give it at least a 50w overhead.

The center fan which is a 1cm smaller does cause the cards cooler to be slightly louder than say a Windforce which has all three fans the same size.

A 550w is totally fine with a processor and graphics card overclocked.

you can set up a custom fan profile in afterburner so that it doesn't get loud if you wanted.
