Hi, I just built my new (and first) system and I am looking to overclock my 2600. I was wondering if there is a difference between using the Ryzen Master utility and going directly into the BIOS and changing the frequency there and why  it may be better to use one over the other. Thanks in advance.

I prefer the BIOS, ryzen master doesn’t seem to work when I tried it.

I don't like ryzen master, but it's much more convenient, even if you have to reset every time.  I like the bios better though for actual results for overclocking.  If I just need a quick non-stock overclock, I'll use ryzen master for like 3.6 on my r5 1600 on stock voltage.

RyZEN MASTER works, but you would rather the bios do all the work.. You dont need RYZEN.exe stopped working to cause a crash or something.  If you have m.2 pcie startup disk, running your cinebench isnt so bad since it only takes about 12 seconds to boot..

i have a msi b350 and shot my ram to 2933 and my cpu to 4.2
