Hello, Id just like to know if there are any RX 470 with only 1 6pin PCI-E or if I would have to upgrade my PSU, and even if it only had 1 6pin, could I run it? I currently have a gtx 660 which is also a pretty power hungry card

My psu is rs-500-psap-j3

Thanks in advance :)

That PSU looks pretty sketch, would upgrade anyways.

There are no rx 470s with only 1 6 pin but there are 1060s.

The ASUS 470 has the 6 pin connector

ASUS X470-PRO • R7 1700 4GHz • Corsair H110i GT P/P • 2x MSI RX 480 8G • Corsair DP 2x8 @3466 • EVGA 750 G2 • Corsair 730T • Crucial MX500 250GB • WD 4TB

Get a new PSU first, the risk is quite large with a dodgy PSU like that.

88W. Still way too much imo.

It's fine to overdraw the PCIe cable all day long, they are 90% of the time overbuilt (and 100% of the time overbuilt in decent PSUs). Keep in mind that in 6+2 pin connectors, the same 3 12V wires are meant to take current draw of at least 4.2 Amps for 150w output as the connector can be used as both a 6pin and an 8pin.

6 pin is rated for 75W, and that not a good psu.

official rating is super conservative, you can easily go past that without problems.

Yeah i know, I would never get such a PSU but I bought my PC used.

RX 470s are like half the price of a 1060 where I live so id rather have that than a 1060 even if that means upgrading PSU
