razor krakon pro

Go to solution Solved by MAXXHEW,

Well dladdin, my son and I own a set of the Razer Kraken Pros... he wears the lime green pair & I wear the all black pair.  I also have a very high end 7.1 home theater system that I think sounds very good, and let me tell you this... the first time I tried the Krakens I was very surprised.  These headsets are comfortable to wear for hours at a time.  The Krakens work well in Skype with the built in mic, & they sound good enough for everyday listening.  Now if you want to act like some sort of audio expert... sure there are better sets out there, but for normal users the Krakens are a good choice.  I doubt many of these posters here ever even had a chance to listen to the Krakens, and the ones that are suggesting other options probably don't own those either... they might just be recommending those sets because of what they have read about them.  If you are thinking of getting the Kraken Pros, I would tell you that it's a good choice.

Unless you want your head to vibrate from the wayyy overkill bass, then no.

I'm probably going to sound like an audiophile here (I'm not) but get headphones and then either buy a mod mic, zalman clip mic, or a desktop mic. For what to buy budget.

That's not a great option if he wants to stay around the price point of Kraken Pros

The Corsair 1400/1500 do sound good, but you can get better sounding better normal headphones.

Anyway: For the price the Kraken Pros are fine I guess, but I would recommend for you to just save up some more money OP...

It'll get you through the day. Do be warned, though, it's not as good as some desktop mics from Blue or audio-techinca, but that should be obvious.

arrrrgh dont know what to do ?????

Those of us who hang out mostly in the Audio forum always suggest a headphone from a real audio company that focuses on audio rather than a gaming company. Gaming headsets offer poor value for the dollar, and are easily outperformed by even lower priced headphones from the like of monoprice and superlux. A Pioneer SE-A1000 or Audio Technica ATH-AD500x will put to shame anything a gaming company has to offer. Gaming companies are very good at marketing/advertising. I would rather pay for the best sound for a price point than looks or game company swag.

need ones with noise cancelling !!!!!

I don't think you'll find a quality headphone with ANC and a microphone in your budget. Would you settle for something with passive isolation?
