hi guys

im currently running i7-6800k(OC @ 4.3ghz), 32gb (2x16) ram asrock x99 mini itx mobo and gtx 1080 all inside ncase m1

when i game on this rig, it's quite heavily cpu bottlenecked especially on games like assassin's creed and pubg

so when im streaming its really taxing on my cpu unless i do some heavy settings on obs side, which I frankly do not know how to

time to bring out my wallet and spend some cash on some flashy cpu

many people would recommend amd cpus for more cores which i fully understand why

however(comma) gaming will be more emphasized meaning i won't be heavily streaming but still occasionally

therefore whatever im upgrading to i want to see tangible difference in gaming performance from i7 6800k to whatever

my current options are

1) keep i7-6800k and buy i5 8600k and new mobo for two separate rigs

2) sell i7-6800k, x99 mini itx mobo, and $60 noctua cooler for around 500 (im thinking) and use that cash to buy and build one rig:

       a - z370 with i7 8700k

       b - B450 with r7 2700x

c - B450 with r5 2600x if this is good enough (of course, more cash in bank account is always better)

i currently have old corsair h60 cooler lying around

ill probably slap that on my 1080 and another on new cpu so its relatively quiet in the small case i have

Then the questions are:

1) compared to 6800k, how much difference will i see in gaming for 8600k, 8700k or 2700x?

2) is the gaming performance between the two sides (intel & amd) that significant

3) when im streaming how much will i benefit from 2700x?

If you buy ryzen, you will lose gaming performance. 6th gen broadwell-e has better single threaded than ryzen clock for clock, so you're not improving by buying a 6c/12t consumer CPU. High end coffee lake is where your priorities should lie, now that Intel offers a 6 core mainstream chip.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.
