I recently upgraded my motherboard and CPU, GIGABYTE Z370P D3 and Intel Core i5-8400, now I get a buzzing sound through my microphone. I even got a new case, the CORSAIR CARBIDE 100R, but it didn't help at all. This didn't happen with my old mobo and CPU. I think it may be some grounding issue. I tried different outlets, with and without the surge protector, no change. If I touch any metal surface on the case the buzz drops a level but still there, same with the metal coaxial connection on the surge protector, the buzz drops. I would like to use my mic and play coop games, but now I can't. What could it be?

Do you think it could be my power supply going bad? Should I get a dedicated sound card? My speakers work just fine. And the microphone I use is USB. Any ideas? TY

Hi, I know its been like two years but either wondered if you've pinpointed or solved the problem? I'm getting buzzing through my speaker and I have a suspicion it might be the motherboard making noise as I've heard same accounts of the Z370P D3 causing noise issues.
