The T8300 is Penryn based, thus more efficient and more powerful. No brainer, get the T8300. Cache is negligible.

Hey,

I have decided to upgrade Acer Aspire 5920 CPU from Core2 Duo T5550 to T7700 or T8300.

I will be a good project

 

My base knowledge about this came from this (Last post says it all) - http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/acer-aspire-5920-processor-upgrade-help.319075/

 

I am getting each processor at under 5 USD which one should i buy.

DON'T GIVE ANSWERS JUST BY LOOKING AT CPUBOSS I think there score are wrong about these two.

Thats what i was think but the results at CPUBOSS threw me off

CPU boss is shite anyway. If you want a real comparison for older chips, use cpu world instead alongside passmark.
