First of all. Hi! i'm new here, nice too meet you all :)

Second, my pc has started freezing while playing games. It happens in a few minutes.

I attached a picture of the temps when a freeze occurred. Please note, the pc is liquid cooled and playing at 3840x2160.

Every time the pc freezes, i need to shut it down and start it up again, it is getting very frustrating. It happends almost every 5 - 10 minutes.

Things i tried:

- Reinstalling AMD drivers

- Reinstalling Windows 10

I hope anyone can help me with this issue..

A couple things:

-Is your GPU Overclocked? -could be an unstable overclock

-What kind of PSU are you using? How old is it? -could be a dying PSU/not powerful enough for your GPU/Overclock

-Are you Overclocking your CPU?

-Have you tried using a drive cleaner utility to completely wipe the drives for your GPU and re-install the latest ones?

-Are you running this game or your OS from a HDD? if so, how old is the HDD? -you could be having a failing HDD

-Have you ran a stress test (like unigine benchmarks and AIDA64) to determine if your system is stable? -could be an unstable GPU/CPU Overclock or unstable memory if it is overclocked as well

-Are you running in SLI? -if so, you could have a failing GPU/SLI Bridge, or the game could be unstable with SLI (there are more and more issues with SLI as it is being less and less supported)

Hopefully that will give you a few thing to look at and see if any of that could be your issue.

If all else fails, fresh install of Windows and start clean ;)

I haven't overclocked my CPU or GPU. My PSU is about 2 years old, it's a BeQuiet! Power Zone 1000w.

I'm running a i7 6700k and dual Gigabyte R9 390 in crossfire. And i've already tried reinstalling drivers and reinstalling windows 10.

Weird thing is that in 3DMark, Unigine or in Furmark, The system is perfectly stable and temps are not too high also.

EDIT: system just crashed while running 3DMark stresstest. :(

You probably might wanna run a single card and put in under load for a while and see the if the results are different. If that gets passed by the applications and tools, it's more likely the crossfire setup is buggy and causing the main instability. Also may want to make sure that all the power delivery connections are steady, i.e the 8pin and 24pin as well as external PCIe power connections if your card uses one.

console.log("way to pro");

Ah crossfire, got it. Well I don't have any experience with crossfire, but could you try removing one of the cards, run a stress test, see if it works. Then swap to just the other card and run again to see if that one works. Rule out if one of your cards may be failing. Possibly could need a BIOS update to your MB as well if you haven't done that in a while.

I don't think it is your PSU being that new. Obviously its not overclocking. Have you monitored your temps while stress testing/playing games? maybe the GPU or CPU are over heating possibly?

Does it crash and freeze only on applications that are using your GPU? or has it happened just using windows and doing basic functions?

If none of that gets you anywhere, try re-installing windows as that tends to fix a lot of weird errors, especially with drivers.

Turns out one of the cards is causing the problem.

1 card works fine, but when i try the other one, the pc freezes after a few minutes with demanding games.

I can still play those kickass games like Lego StarWars and Minecraft though xD But seriously, i think i need to replace this card.. Or if anyone else has suggestions?
