I live in Australia.

Bought a device from the U.S that came with a 9-volt battery charging dock and two of their first party batteries.

The wall plug that is connected to the dock is in the shape of an Australian plug (like the scream mask)

So, I plugged the battery charging dock into my power strip, put in one of the batteries and in a few seconds it started to make a funny noise, then it started to smell like it was burning, so I turned the power off.

It was at this point I knew that I had done goofed.

Plugged the battery into the device and nothing came up. It's fried

Fortunately, it came with another battery (of which I have not destroyed)

I had the setting on the charging dock set to Li-Polymer as per the instruction manual, so I guess that I need an adapter of sorts?

Any Aussie ebay or amazon link would be nice

I've attached a pic of the battery, the back of the charging dock and the wall plug

Cheers
